Rogue Squadron

I realized that even though the name of this blog has Star Wars in it, I have very few Star Wars posts. So here's one about one of my favorite groups from anything in the world....Rogue Squadron! Well, really just some photos. :) These are the characters from the comic series (Yes, the picture of Wedge is from the movies). Maybe I'll do the ones from the novels later.

Male swimmers

We're coming up on the cold months. So to keep you warm, here's some summertime fun. Guy wearing nothing but bathing suits!

Baseball

There's not much baseball news going on right now. There's only.....the World Series! But it's the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers. Unless you're from St. Louis or Texas you don't seem to care one way or the other. Odd, really. For whatever reason, it appears no one cares about the Series this year, myself included. My team wasn't in it last year, but I still watched. More often than not, my team hasn't been in it, but I still cared. Whatever.
Game 7 is tonight. Kind of rooting for Texas. They've never won the World Series before. Hell, until last year, they had never even been to the World Series. But after tonight, we won't be hearing any baseball news for awhile. Hear about some trades maybe, but that's it. No games or anything. Farewell, baseball. Enjoy your winter slumber.

New Mutants

The New Mutants were a group of young mutants brought together by Professor X when he believed the X-Men were all dead. When Chris Claremont was writing the series, it's my favorite comic book. It declined considerably when he left. Here's the cast when he was writing it. Zeb Wells was the writer when the third series started. I enjoyed his run too.

We'll start off with some group shots.

The first student was Karma. The power to possess minds.

Then came the next four shorty afterwards. There were co-lead Cannonball. He can blast off, like his namesake. While "blasting" he is invulnerable.

The other leader was Psyche/Mirage. She could pull out people's greatest fears or desires from their minds and create an illusion of them.

Next is Sunspot. He can take the energy from the sun and convert it into super strength.

The final member of the original team was Wolfsbane. She can turn into...a wolf.

Later came Magma. She can take the lava from the Earth and use it against her foes.

Next is Magik. She possess dark magic and has something called a Soul Sword.

Then came Cypher. He can translate any language. Spoke, written, computer, body language. (Check out my other post on him.)

And they needed Cypher to translate for Warlock. He can take the form of anything. Yes, anything at all. He can even fly.

Skins

Skins was a British tv show that aired on BBC, I think. They made an American version of it, which did horrible. I never saw it, but I've heard it was pretty bad. I have the first two season of the British series, and I absolutely love Nicholas Hoult and Mitch Hewer. So here's some pictures of them. Nick is the brown haired one and Mitch is the blonde.
